March 13, 2013—As part of the upcoming Solidarity Center conference, “Women’s Empowerment, Gender Equality and Labor Rights: Transforming the Terrain,” the Solidarity Center is accepting proposals for individual or collective research papers.
The research will provide new analysis or information about the intersection of women’s empowerment, gender equality and labor rights, in the context of a changing global economy.
All papers that meet this criteria will be considered, but those addressing these intersections as they relate to women workers in agriculture and small manufacturing, and/or as they relate to institutional innovations and transformational leadership, are especially welcome.
The deadline for submission is April 15, 2013. More details and information on submitting papers are available here.
The July 30-31 conference is part of a series funded in part by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The series highlights the major challenges facing unions and working people around the world in the struggle to secure labor, social and economic rights for workers.
